What we do now is the most important factor for tomorrow. Unless we change our emotional pattern of behavior, tomorrow will resemble yesterday in most details except the date.

Moshe Feldenkrais

The Feldenkrais Method is a whole systems approach that includes Awareness through Movement lessons and Functional Integration sessions as a way into the dimensions within you that are deeper than thought and action. Through this experience you can acquire a movement based knowledge that organizes your body to move with greater ease and effectiveness, while supporting range of motion, coordination and the ability to experience greater pleasure and balance throughout your life.

The organic nature of this approach taps into the inherent intelligence of your brain and nervous system to elicit positive changes influencing how you think and move through life. Neuroscience calls this neuroplasticity and current research validates the efficacy of somatic awareness to enhance the ability of your brain to form new neural pathways and naturally enhance your biological fitness and relationship with life.

Shivani Jane is a Somatic educator, Guild Certified Feldenkrais and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. She is passionate about sharing lessons that enhance inner connectedness and freedom of choice, while naturally bringing about more balance, ease, resiliency and pleasure to daily activities. She has acquired 30 years of experience as an embodiment guide, mapping the Self through hands on therapies, Restorative Somatic Yoga, Awareness through Movement lessons and Functional Integration. Serving all ages and abilities, her current lessons reflect her inspiration to re-wire cultural conditioning and childhood imprints using somatic awareness to optimize nervous system regulation and tap the hidden potential within each of us.

I believe that knowing oneself is the most important thing a human being can do for himself. How can one know oneself? By learning to act not as one should, but as one does.
